[Danbury, Conn., October 2, 2019] Meyer Jabara Hotels (MJH) has been selected by Benchmark Development of Lenox, Mass., to manage its new construction, Hampton Inn by Hilton in Verona, N.Y. Located adjacent to the award-winning Turning Stone Resort Casino , the hotel will be designed to mirror the tribal asset and it will feature 100 guest rooms, a fitness center, indoor pool, and other amenities. The modular construction project is expected to open in Summer 2020, offering tourists even more options when visiting the four-season destination region.

“Meyer Jabara Hotels came highly recommended as a management company with exceptional experience in destination planning,” said Brian Cohan, regional director of development for Benchmark Development. “The company’s familiarity with the New York hotel market and Hilton brands makes it uniquely qualified to draw to manage the day-to-day operations of the property once open. Hampton Inn by Hilton Verona will be a great addition to an area already accustomed to world-class amenities and award-winning guest service.”

Turning Stone Casino, owned by the Oneida Indian Nation, has won countless accolades as it has expanded its offerings while remaining true to its commitment to superior guest service. Earlier this year, Forbes Travel Guide recognized the resort with three Four Star awards and AAA bestowed three of its elite Four Diamond Awards, distinguishing Turning Stone as the only resort in the entire northeast to earn three of both prominent awards. Two restaurants earned Awards of Excellence from Wine Spectator and the resort earned Golf Digest’s coveted 2019 Editors’ Choice Award for the Best Golf Resort in the Americas in the Northeast.

“We see the new Hampton Inn as a strong complement to all that is offered at Turning Stone, and we are always thrilled to help generate and maintain additional economic activity in the area,” said Oneida Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter. “Many businesses have literally grown up around Turning Stone and that’s a good thing, and evidence that our enterprises are a magnet and strong economic engine for the entire region.”

“We are delighted to be in partnership with Benchmark Development and the Oneida Indian Nation for this exciting hotel management deal,” said Justin Jabara, VP of acquisitions and development for Meyer Jabara Hotels. “Because of the hotel’s modular construction – with sections of the hotel fabricated off sight to brand specifications – it will be built in half the time. The look of the hotel will mirror that of the Turning Stone Casino, with the public space mirroring its lodge-like design. More importantly, Hampton Inn by Hilton Verona guests won’t have to go far to experience the best in gaming, dining and entertainment with everything they could possibly want right next door. It’s with the same spirit of hospitality bestowed by the Oneida Indian Nation at Turning Point Casino that we are eager to welcome guests to Verona’s newest upscale select-service hotel in the coming year.”

Hampton Inn by Hilton Verona will be part of Hilton Honors®, the award-winning guest-loyalty program for Hilton’s 17 distinct hotel brands. Hilton Honors members who book directly through preferred Hilton channels have access to instant benefits, including a flexible payment slider that allows members to choose nearly any combination of Points and money to book a stay, an exclusive member discount that can’t be found anywhere else, and free standard WiFi. Members also enjoy popular digital tools available exclusively through the industry-leading Hilton Honors mobile app, where Hilton Honors members can check-in, choose their room, and access their room using a Digital Key.
