Meyer Jabara Hotels kickstarts return to downtown hotel scene with renovations and amazing deals. It’s a homecoming that’s been in the making for years. Meyer Jabara Hotels, based out of Danbury, CT, is now the owner and operator of the CAMBRiA hotel & suites Pittsburgh at CONSOL Energy Center.

The company is returning to Pittsburgh – having owned Servico and the Omni William Penn in years past – and continuing what has been a successful partnership with Choice Hotels’ Cambria brand. The acquisition marks an emotional milestone for Meyer Jabara, whose history in Pittsburgh dates back to the ‘70s. “Pittsburgh has always been close to our hearts. We are excited to be back, and are looking forward to contributing to the community again - and in new ways,” says Richard Jabara, President and CEO of Meyer Jabara Hotels.

The CAMBRiA hotels & suites brand is a great match for Pittsburgh’s bustling business scene and leisure visitors. For decades, corporations have looked to Pittsburgh to house their headquarters – and recent years have seen an influx of millennials making the city their home. Esteemed educational institutions have deep roots in the downtown area, and the property is just steps from UPMC’s revered medical facilities.

Brand strategy for the CAMBRiA pairs well with these Pittsburgh mainstays, and is focused on providing an upscale, yet approachable, experience. (The property’s designation as Official Hotel of the Pittsburgh Penguins doesn’t hurt, either.) The building itself is just 4 years old, and its spotless guest suites are spacious and well-appointed. Add those to Meyer Jabara’s plans to add meeting space and an impressive Food and Beverage re-imagination, and the CAMBRiA will take up its position as a full-service branded hotel with a fun boutique feel.

Meyer Jabara is known as a dedicated, community-minded, creative and people-centered hospitality company focused on creating memorable moments and shareable stories. Jackie Gillespie, a Pittsburgh native with an extensive background in the local hotel industry, will take the reins as the property’s General Manager. Her previous experience in Sales and Marketing lends keen insights into the market, and her conversations are peppered with love for her city.

A return home. An invigorated approach. And a heart for Pittsburgh. Meyer Jabara Hotels and the CAMBRiA hotel & suites Pittsburgh at CONSOL Energy Center invite you to stay where the Pens play! (Meyer Jabara plans to hit the ground running with introductory rates and Choice Privilege points incentives in an effort to attract new business and ‘re-introduce’ the property to current guests.
